Summary:
As chaos descends on a crippled Earth, survivors are tormented by strange psychic gifts. In this time of apocalyptic despair, love is put to the test. One woman with mysterious healing power guides seven children to safety. Charismatic Arthur offers her a haven. Slowly Emma falls for him. But at the moment of their sweetest love, his devastating secret is revealed, and they are lost to each other.

Review:
Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

I'm not going to lie, I hesitated to pick up Fallen but once I did, I was immediately drawn into its pages. Within Fallen you will find what is the end of the world, what caused the disaster, and those who were able to survive. Emma is with a band of chidden, fighting off what is the the mist. The mist will destroy everything in its path, killing everything in its path. When the mist gets to you, it is a very painful death.

The book opens up with Mandy, Emma's five year old daughter, about to get killed from the mist. Instead of allowing Mandy to be taken from the mist, Emma carries around a gun to end the persons misery. Right before Emma had to put a bullet in her own daughters head, comes a group of men to save the day. With the mist gone, the men are about to go their own way but Emma knows that if that happens, the group doesn't have much of a chance at surviving. So Emma does the only thing she can think of. She agrees to stay with the leader of the group, Arthur.

As Arthur and Emma's "relationship" progressing, they start to learn things about each other that the others didn't know. From the mist, people began to develop certain "powers" that help them on their way as they fight to survive. Bad guys are revealed, and not only true friendships are discovered, but possibly even love? The only issue, Emma is married. And Arthur will have none of that.

I adored both Emma's personality; the way she knew exactly what had to be done and did whatever needed to be done to save not only her and her daughters life but the lives of the people she's grown to love. With Arthur, he is your adverse manly man that wan't have any one defying him but has a soft spot for Emma. Even when it comes to her ridiculous demands for toothpaste and showers.

I can not wait for the next book in this series. If you have yet to read Fallen, it is a book that you must put on your to read list. While younger readers may not enjoy it as much, I know that older readers will find it as inspiring as I did.

Welcome to Bonfire Academy!

Set in the foothills of the alpine mountains in St.Moritz, this exclusive private school caters to a special kind of student. Enter at your own risk... but if you are human, you may not want to enter at all.

Review:
Imogen Rose never disappoints me!

From the very first chapter, no, scratch that, from the very first page I was hooked! (Which you can read HERE) The minute I sat down I read nonstop until about two hundred and seventy pages when I fell asleep, exhausted. The very next morning I picked it back up and started reading until I finished the book.

I love Cordelia and Jagger. I love the idea of them and the relationship that they have. However, if you read the first chapter, you know that Cordelia is taken by Quinn. Right of the bat there's a love triangle, and we all know how me we love and loathe love triangles. However, I must admit, because this is a school for the paranormal, this love triangle was very interesting and frustrating all at the same time.

For those of us who have read Rose's Faustine, we all know the school in Switzerland that Faustine was sent to. In Initiation we are able to not only see the school but from the beginning when Faustine was originally sent there. Although Initiation is not in Faustine's point of view, but the Demon Princess Cordelia's, the book was just as great as what started it all, Faustine.

Not only are there Demons, but vampires, shifters, Fay, and even some Wanderers. And yes, we get to see into a little of all of them! With mentoring Faustine and trying to deal with a love triangle that seems to have an obvious ending but who knows, Cordelia has much to deal with! Not to mention, she's been attacked, and kidnapped time and time again.

I simply can not wait to read more into this series as well as Faustine's series. Did I mention that Ryker, yes Faustine's Ryker is in this in here? So we even get to see Ryker and Faustine develop a little bit to. Again, I repeat, these books are a must read! Next one please!

Guest Post:Artist Arthur + giveaway

Lindsey is the daughter of a South Korean diplomat and his adoring wife. As the only child in a very political family Lindsey learned early on how to be personable and charming no matter what her personal circumstances. She’s very intelligent, spending her spare time studying things that others may deem useless but using them in her daily life. As a result, realizing that she could hear the thoughts of others wasn’t so much of a surprise to her. But the horrific train crash that left her parents dead, and her miraculously unscathed, is an anomaly she’s yet to recover from or figure out.

Forced to move to Lincoln with Aurora Hampton, Lindsey is now facing a new town, new friends and an incident that haunts her on a daily basis.

Meeting the Mystyx was no mistake, Lindsey is convinced. There’s a reason she was sent to Lincoln, a reason why the four of them were brought together at this time, in this place, and she’s more than eager to figure that reason out. Until the revelations become too painful and the mind she’s come to pride herself on becomes the very tool that could end the lives of the other Mystyx.

Here with me today is Artist Arthur. Artist is the fantastic author of these wonderful series. What does an author such as Artist like? Well, read on to find out!

I am the first born and only girl in my family, and six and nine years separate me and my two brothers. Needless to say, I was alone quite a bit. But being alone gave me plenty of time to indulge my imagination in the world of books. One of the first novels I read was a young adult series that traced the lives of two teenagers in high school, Sweet Valley High. Reading those novels I thought I could do better, and so my quest to write entertaining stories began.

Being an introvert, it took me a long time to feel comfortable enough to let others read my work. How long? Well, the first person to read a story I wrote was my husband. Since then, I’ve been writing professionally for almost nine years now. But it was my daughter who encouraged me to write a book for teens—just one of the reasons I love her so dearly.

I live in Maryland with my husband and three children. If you take away the opinionated teenagers, family drama, overflowing bookshelves and DVDs, my life is pretty boring. But don’t take those things away, since they’re my inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by Artist!
