Funny! Zombie walks have become all the rage here in the Denver area. The downtown one has exploded to 8,000 participants, CU Boulder has 15,000, and my son's high school is having a school-wide one tomorrow.

To the middle-aged woman trick-or-treating without a costume... really? Are you that desparate for free candy? Have you no shame? Next year, leave it to the kids.

Okay, Scott, I have finally come to the conclusion that you are stark raving mad and I enjoy every minute of it. That really worries me, so I made an appointment with a shrink.

I noticed there were no disclaimers...were any authors, zombies or bystanders injured in the making of this Halloween video post?

I hope that you survived Halloween, Scott.

You had some pretty old trick-or-treaters in your neighborhood Scott. You were not forth coming with your treats, obviously, because they mounted a pretty organized attack-trick. Then, they probably toilet papered your house (I've seen it happen all too often). Zombies just can't be trusted!

It's a good thing those were the brain-eating zombies (a la "Return of the Living Dead") instead of the chomp-on-anything variety in the Romero films... You got away from the attack completely unharmed and BITE FREE! (I guess there was nothing they found appetizing, huh?)

I, myself, am feeling rather brainless after my whirlwind mini-vacation! I got to walk on the REAL bates Motel set, TOUCH the actual "Psycho" house and spent Halloween night with 500,000 other creepy crawlies along Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. On Dia De Los Muertos, I was wandering among the graves of Marilyn Monroe and Farrah Fawcett in the Westwood Cemetery. I mentioned needing to get back home so I could continue to follow your blog tour. Neither Farrah nor Marilyn seemed the least bit interested. You really DON'T have a way with dead women... (but I do think Don Knotts was showing a little "rigor mortis" action there when I mentioned your name. Hubba Hubba!)

Cha-cha-cha, Daddy-O!!!

author Scott Nicholson said...

Monster, was this the REAL Don Knotts? Not like the Fake Jan Brady, I hope.

Andrea, sad I missed D-con this year!

Byonge, thanks for your support on Disintegration, please tell two friends!

Stacey World War Z is a great anthropolical textbook!

The Undead Rat said...

Hi Scott,

I remember reading Murdermouth years ago when it was a short story e-book available from Fictionwise. I read it excited to have a zombie short from Scott Nicholson.

My first reaction was to draw back in surprise. Then I chuckled and dove back into the reading as you'd given me a different zombie story than I expected and I love it when I writer can do that.

I bought the new Murdermouth collection when I went on a shopping spree a couple of weeks ago. Its not the first time I've paid twice for a story but it was the first time I paid happily.

Thanks for the contest,
Greg "The Undead Rat" Fisher
